Four years after its series finale, Fox is bringing back Jack Bauer and 24 in the two hour premiere of 24: Live Another Day, at 8:00. Jack is in London, on the run from the CIA and attempting to save the world in this 12 episode series. The critics are fans of this revival. James Caan and Mandy Patinkin star in this film which takes place in Los Angeles in 1991 when extra-terrestrials live alongside humans (much to the dismay of the humans). Caan is the human cop, Patinkin the extra-terrestrial one.
NBC has the series premiere of American Odyssey, a drama in which an international cover-up explodes when the lives of a female Special Forces soldier, a disillusioned corporate lawyer and a political activist from a privileged family unexpectedly collide, at 10:00. Mixed reviews for this one with some critics loving it, calling it exhilarating and thrilling, while others thought it was overdone, dull, and uninspired.
