TV Show Recommendations for Wednesday, September 19, 2012
Tow trucks booze and reality, that’s what we’ve got tonight as part of our TV show recommendations for Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
Follow the day-to-day actions of Tremont Towing, a towing company in the South Beach area of Florida, on the second season premiere of South Beach Tow on truTV at 6:30 PT/9:30 ET. Why would you want to do that, you might ask? We don’t know.
Survivor: Philippines starts its new season on CBS at 8:00. In case you haven’t been awake for the past 25 years, the show maroons a group of strangers in a desolate locale, where they must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves, while competing in challenges to earn either a reward, or an immunity from expulsion.
Now, here’s something that we can all relate to. How Booze Built America, a three part special, premieres on the Discovery Channel at 10:00. In this show host Mike Rowe criss-crosses the country taking an in depth and slightly unusual look at the story of our nation, making the case that alcohol is clearly one of the key ingredients that formed our culture and our country.
The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons starts its new season on MTV at 10:00. This twenty-third season of reality television game show, The Challenge, takes place in Bodrum, Turkey and Namibia. Former cast members from select seasons of MTV’s The Real World, as well as Fresh Meat, Fresh Meat II and the Spring Break Challenge will be competing, with the hope of winning a piece of the $250,000 grand prize.
