A Day at the Races, the Marx Brothers 1937 comedy is on TCM at 8:00 PT/11:00 ET. Once again, Groucho tries to con a dowager out of her money, this time he’s a veterinarian posing as the head of a Sanitarium.
TCM has the Beatles in their first motion picture, the 1964, black-and-white musical comedy, A Hard Day’s Night, which follows the lives of the Fab Four at the height of Beatlemania as they travel from Liverpool to London to perform on a TV show. Hugely successful and influential (think The Monkees, among others), it’s still a lot of fun. The film airs at 5:00 PT/8:00 ET.
