Wolves.  No rating.  After the brutal murder of his parents, high school student Cayden Richards is forced to hit the road and decides to find out the truth of what he really is. In a remote mountain town, he finds others like him, including the beautiful Angelina who he falls in love with. When he discovers his ancestry as a wolf, he finds that the woman he loves is caught between two ancient clans of “wolves” and the only way to save her is to fight against forces more horrifying than he can ever imagine. The film, which premieres on VOD on Thursday, October 16, has no critic reviews available at the time of writing.

Woman in Gold.  Rating:  3 (out of 5).  An elderly Jewish woman, who fled Vienna during World War II, embarks on a journey to retrieve her family possessions seized by the Nazis. Together with a plucky young lawyer, her journey takes her to the heart of the Austrian government and the US Supreme Court, and forces her to face difficult truths about the past along the way.  This drama based on a true story comes to VOD starting Tuesday, July 7.  The Chicago Sun-Times gives the movie 3 out of 4 stars, and further writes, “This is a conventional but important story well told.”

Woodlawn.  Rating:  3 (out of 5).  In 1973, the Woodlawn High School Football team, led by their coach, Tandy Geralds, makes an astounding run at the playoffs, amidst racism and hate, leading to the largest high school football game ever played in the torn city of Birmingham, Alabama, and the rise of its first African American superstar – Tony Nathan. “Woodlawn” will premiere on VOD on Tuesday, January 19th. The Hollywood Reporter says, “The film largely succeeds in achieving its modest goals, delivering a feel-good, real-life inspirational story in a mostly engaging fashion.”

The Christian Science Monitor writes, “What keeps the film humming along pleasurably despite these stumbles is the high energy of the two leads.”

The movie will premiere on VOD on Tuesday, October 28th.  The Washington Post writes, “The new “X-Men,” directed by Bryan Singer from a script by Simon Kinberg, feels urgently important while it’s happening and thoroughly satisfying once it’s over. That’s my definition of a really good time.”

You’re Next.  Rating:  3 (out of 5).  What seems to be a happy family reunion getaway is suddenly disrupted when the Davison family comes under attack from a gang of masked killers. Fearing for their lives, they soon discover that an unlikely family guest has a hidden talent for fighting back.   Premiering on VOD on Friday, December 27th, The film has received mixed reviews from the critics, but according to Los Angeles Times, “There’s a wickedly energized purity at play in “You’re Next,” making it an agreeably disreputable good time.”
