But a torrential rainstorm provides an opportunity for local authorities to uncover the family’s tightly kept secret. The film will be available on VOD starting December 17. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “We Are What We Are sustains not only suspense, but also internal logic.”

We Are Your Friends

We Are Your Friends.  Rating:  3 (out of 5).  The film takes us to the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, where an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole spends his days with his childhood friends and his nights working on that one track that will set the world on fire. Everything changes when he meets James, a charismatic yet damaged older DJ, who takes him under his wing. But things start to get complicated when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie. The film will premiere on VOD on Tuesday, November 17.  The Los Angeles Times summed up the reviews well when it wrote, “The movie is visually inventive and with enough good moments and smart moves to never be entirely dismissible, while not strong enough to overcome its essential thinness.”
