HBO has last year’s Best Picture Oscar winner, 12 Years a Slave, based on the true story of Solomon Northup, a free black man living in upstate New York, who was abducted and sold into slavery in the 1800s. The critics loved the movie with the New York Post calling it “The “Schindler’s List” of slavery films,” here are the reviews.
